Overview
An experimental application designed to turn augmented reality from a gimmick into a practical instrument for transparency — empowering consumers by revealing the invisible environmental cost of their purchases right at the point of sale, bridging the gap between corporate sustainability reports and daily buying decisions.

Solution & Functionality
Object recognition detects brand logos (such as Starbucks and McDonald's) and immediately displays a sustainability dashboard on the product. The interface turns complicated environmental information into understandable “Waste Scores” — recyclable-material percentages, global-emission contributions, and projected waste timelines.
It juxtaposes stated corporate “Goals” against measurable “Progress,” creating accountability between brands and their public commitments.

Impact & Vision
By surfacing concealed information — like the material-composition breakdown of individual items — the project shows how AR can provide practical utility that strengthens transparency and supports conscientious purchasing.
